  2. The projects related to Basic systems have been valuable. WHYCOS-projects, development of regulatory materials, WMO capacity building materials related to stream gauging, SPICE- solid precipitation experiment.

    What should be done:
    – Work related to uncertainty (Project X) and standard procedures related to hydroacoustic measurement computation and harmonizing processing of ice covered winter flows could be considered.

    Aunque es complicado seleccionar un programa entre todos los existentes, me parece muy interesante la evaluación del comportamiento de los equipos y técnicas de medidas. También el programa de creación de capacidad, las comunidades de prácticas, las publicaciones (por ejemplo la guía de prácticas de hidrología, que sería interesante se actualizase periódicamente),la iniciativa del hidrohub, los grupos de trabajo de las asociaciones regionales, etc… Algunas materias en las que el trabajo de la OMM podría potenciarse más serían aguas subterráneas, calibración y verificación de modelos hidrológicos , comparativa y descripción de las aplicaciones de los diferentes indicadores de sequía hidrológica, estandarización del intercambio de datos…

    I find it difficult to choose among all the activities. Just to mention some of them : Measuring and techniques of measure , Capacity Building, Communities of Practice, publications ( that should be updated on a regular basis), etc… Other potential matters to cover Groundwater (measuring, etc), calibration and verification of Hydrological models, comparison of indicators on Hydrological droughts, etc…

  4. I believe that each of the programs involved in the hydrological theme are essential and basic to bring to a good consensus the hydrological issues and strategic actions to be developed. However, we are also aware that the International Hydrological Program gathers within its structure important programs that have been developed on the basis of good and bad experiences that have arisen in the world and that should be disseminated to improve their productivity. The idea is how we improve technical, scientific, environmental and social in the search for sustainable development.

  5. Ces programmes, projets ou initiatives de l’OMM susceptibles de faire progresser l’hydrologie sont les suivants :
    • Programme HYCOS et sa mise en œuvre dans les pays ;
    • Renforcement de capacité initié et opérationnel dans les pays (programme de formations sur l’hydrologie opérationnelle, à poursuivre)….
    • Appui en prévisions saisonnières.

    ce qui manque :

    • Moyens techniques, matériels et financiers.
